Christa and Grant’s wedding at Heartland Country Barn was extra special to document. Grant has been my husband’s friend since they were in little league baseball, so I’ve known Grant for close to 10 years now. Christa and I are in a book club together. It was so fun to document their wedding! I will not apologize for being unable to narrow down the photos for this blog.
Vendors:
Christa’s “something old” and “something borrowed” was her grandma’s wedding veil.
Christa used a cowbell to warn Grant that she was outside so he wouldn’t see her before their first look.
Christa gifted custom handkerchiefs to her mom, her dad, and Grant’s mom.
After sharing a first look, Grant and Christa read their vows privately. Yes, I cried.
The wedding party photos were a fun part of their wedding at Heartland Country Barn. My husband was a groomsman, so it was really fun to boss him around!
Christa doing a quick shot to calm the nerves before the ceremony. And showing her grandma the veil.
Christa’s cousin was the best flower man I have seen. He had a whole performance down the aisle.
Grant and Christa’s wedding at Heartland Country Barn was in early October, but the sun kept us very toasty during the ceremony.
Ghost wasn’t able to be at the wedding, but Grant and Christa found a really cute way to include him.
The kids table was a hit. They had different toys laid out on the table to entertain all the kids at the reception. The grown kids (aka my husband and his friend) entertained themselves with the football game while formal dances were happening.
After dances, Grant, Christa and I snuck out to get some photos at sunset.
Christa changed into her reception dress after our sunset photos. Then she helped her maid of honor trim her dress!
Grant and Christa love to hike, and Grant proposed while they were on an especially beautiful hike in Colorado. Their cake topper was a very cute nod to their story.
Most couples do the dollar dance to raise honeymoon money. Grand and Christa had a unique idea. Gift money to their honeymoon fund and Christa would pie Grant in the face!
I’m sure you’ve seen the direct flash trend going around. We had fun capturing a few direct flash photos once the sun had set.
Their friends decided Grant and Christa didn’t need s’mores, so they scooped them up and carried them to the dance floor!
I couldn’t leave this flattering photo of my husband out. *Insert mischievous smile here*
