Meeting this Caitlin probably brings the amount of Caitlyn/Caitlin/Kaitlyn/Kaitlin/Katelyn/Catelyns I know up to 20, if you don’t know a Caitlyn (or whatever spelling) I don’t believe you. But no matter how you spell it, I had so much fun capturing her Red Rock Canyon engagement.

Caitlin and Erick are so sweet. I’m so glad I cyber-stalked her Instagram so we could do this session while I was visiting Colorado Springs. To make schedules work, we ended up shooting this in some pretty harsh lighting, I usually prefer to stick to golden hours for the soft light but this session makes me rethink my ways. Direct light is a mega challenge for photographers, in order to do this session in this lighting I had to get over my stickler ways and give in to nature. Sometimes there’s some harsh shadows, but who cares? The photos turned out super cute so who cares where the sun was? 🙂
