Chelsie and Tori celebrate their anniversary every year with a photo session and I think that’s the coolest thing ever. This is their 4th anniversary. I’m very biased, but photos are the best way to keep your memories alive. And what better way to celebrate each anniversary than by having your photos taken so you can see yourselves grow together over the years?

Chelsie and Tori are actually wedding videographers and own The Lumen Studios. I have them listed on my recommended vendors since they are LGBTQ+ friendly and inclusive to everyone. Their work is beautiful and if you’re looking for a videographer for your wedding, start with them.

I was immensely honored that, of all the photographers in Kansas City, Chelsie messaged me for their anniversary session. I haven’t had the opportunity to actually work with them before, so I was really excited! Chelsie told me they wanted some colorful photos, so we decided to roam around Crossroads in Kansas City. Crossroads is full of really cool murals, trendy buildings, and was the perfect spot for a colorful session.

Chelsie and Tori enjoy having fun together so I brought out my fun prompts. We laughed so much, especially when I tasked Chelsie with snorting in Tori’s ear. Yes, you read that correctly.

They had actually just moved to Kansas City when everything started shutting down due to covid. So, aside from weddings, this was one of their first real outings in the city. Kansas City has quite a few well-known areas, but Crossroads is the art district so I think it really speaks to us all.

Anyway, the session was so much fun and you can definitely see their love for each other shine through the photos.
