Eloping in Missouri might not be the first thing you think of when planning an elopement, but I’m here to tell you there are some really beautiful parks in Missouri that can make your elopement extra special.
Kyleigh and Blake have been together since high school. They met when they were just 14 and 15-years-old! When Blake was stationed in Warrensburg, MO they decided to move the wedding up and elope in Cave Hollow Park so Kyleigh could join him in base housing and they wouldn’t have to do long distance for months and months.
Being new in the area, with all of their friends and family back in North Carolina, they asked me and one of the officiants to sign their marriage license as witnesses. This was the first time I’ve been asked to do this, and honestly was so honored!
The ceremony was short and sweet, beneath the trees in a more secluded area of the park. After they made it official, we roamed the park for portraits. Then they went to celebrate, just the two of them at dinner.
With all the crazy COVID stuff happening, elopements and “minimonies” are becoming more and more popular. Every couple of mine who has chosen this route has said how happy they are that they did. So if you’re feeling overwhelmed or discouraged with wedding planning and have been considering an alternative like eloping, just know that it will be perfect no matter what.
