Michaela and Yusef traveled back to Kansas City for their engagement session with their dog, Coco. It was a cold December day, but we all braved the weather and got some very cute photos. Sometimes, having cold weather makes the photos even better because the couple stays close and cuddly.

Michaela and Yusef have been together for 7 years. They met through mutual friends during their freshman year of college. Yusef is currently serving in the military. They are both from the Kansas City are but have moved around while Yusef is active duty.

When Yusef got back from Korea, they went on vacation together in Cancun. He planned to do a casual dinner, but he was pushing for cute clothes and taking a sunset photo on the beach so Michaela started getting suspicious but still didn’t expect him to propose. So the proposal was a surprise! His mom helped Yusef design a custom ring for Michaela.

Loose Park in Kansas City is a great location for an engagement session with a dog. Coco was great at being off-leash.
