Jessica and Matthew chose to do their engagement photos at Shawnee Mission Park. They love being in nature, so it made perfect sense!

Matthew mentioned that he wasn’t a fan of photos before we started our session. This is something I hear frequently (especially from cishet men), so I expected to need to break out more tricks to help Matthew be comfortable and enjoy his time. To my happy surprise, Matthew broke out of his shell pretty quickly. You’ll see what I mean in the photos.

It’s always fun when couples include things that they enjoy together in their engagement photos. Jessica and Matthew brought their Porsche for a couple photos. They really just wanted one photo with it, but now it is forever documented!
