Shelby and Kody wanted fall colors for their engagement photos so we went to College Hill and Chisholm Creek Park.

One of Shelby and Kody’s favorite date nights is grabbing pizza from Wichita Brewing Company. So we had a little makeshift picnic on the brick roads of College Hill.

Shelby was drawn to the red brick in College Hill for their engagement photos.

Shelby had seen a photo on Tiktok that she wanted to try. The girl was on the guy’s shoulders and she poured a beer into his mouth. Once we got Shelby up there, she was nervous she’d end up pouring beer all over Kody’s face and clothes. We couldn’t waste the effort of getting her on his shoulders though, so we walked around like that for a couple minutes. I love how fun these photos are!

They also wanted a location with a nature vibe, so we ended the session at my go-to location in Wichita. Chisholm Creek Park.

I always send my couples a questionnaire to learn more about what they want for their engagement session. I asked what they envision when they picture their engagement photos. Shelby said she wanted the photos to showcase how playful they are with each other. She also wanted some romantic photos. I feel like we crushed it.

This sunset almost looks fake. Kansas might be flat and relatively empty, but it has breathtaking sunsets.
