Raven and Ian had their wedding at On Broadway by Skyline & Co. It is such a cool venue in Kansas City. A beautiful view of the Kansas City skyline as seen from the Crossroads district.
They hired an amazing vendor team to help make their day run smoothly and look beautiful:
Raven got ready at Crossroads Hotel. It had a view of their rooftop wedding venue.
Raven and her mom taped a penny into Raven’s shoe. This is an old wedding tradition that began in Victorian England. It symbolizes a life of death and prosperity. The tradition is thought to be more effective if the penny is placed by the father, because patriarchy. But screw the patriarchy.
After their first look, Raven, Ian and I took some photos around Crossroads Hotel.
Even if you have a first look, seeing your partner walk down the aisle makes it real.
Weddings at On Broadway Skyline & Co. have the best view of downtown Kansas City.
Raven and Ian are both artistic people. Which is one thing that drew them to having their wedding at On Broadway Skyline & Co. in Crossroads art district. They chose to do a unity ceremony that held special meaning to them. A paint pouring unity ceremony. I absolutely loved the creativity in this.
After we finished family photos, the three of us walked around Crossroads for a few more couples photos.
On our way back, we saw some family waving.
We got some really amazing sunsets in Kansas City this past fall.
