Mariah and Rob held their fall wedding at Bride and Bauer in Kansas City. While trucking up the stairs isn’t ideal, once you get to the 3rd floor Bride and Bauer is one of the coolest venues in Kansas City. It has a very industrial vibe with the brick walls and wood floors.
Vendors who helped make Mariah and Rob’s day special:
Mariah and Rob are the sweetest couple. Mariah might be the nicest person I’ve ever met, if not the nicest then she’s tied for first place. She’s just such a pure and genuine person. The two of them together just gives you warm fuzzies.
My favorite part of a wedding at Bride & Bauer is the string lights!
It was a rainy day. Weddings at Bride & Bauer are safe from rainy wedding days. We did want to venture outside for photos. Bride & Bauer is so beautiful that it doesn’t feel like we missed out.
DJ Old School plays a lot of reception games. The most popular game is the scavenger hunt. First, the DJ has the couple choose people to participate. Next, the DJ tells the participants to find items in the venue. Many of the items are found from other guests, like a driver’s license, or a sock. Some items cause a bit of mania to gather, like toilet paper. They’re a great DJ if your guests aren’t too into dancing, but enjoy an entertaining game.
A trend that has grown in popularity in recent years is the group photo. I wish group photos had been a thing when I got married. It’s such a fun way to remember who came to celebrate with you. Also, a good DJ will also use the group photo as a way to open the dance floor.
