Madison and Hunter had their wedding at the Prairie Fire Museum in Overland Park, Kansas. Their reception was held at The Venue in Leawood, Kansas. We got really lucky with the weather for the day. Having an outdoor ceremony at Prairie Fire Museum can be tricky because if the sun hits the windows, it reflects those colors out onto the couple and the guests. We were fortunate enough to have a mostly cloudy sky during the ceremony. The sun broke free as Madison and Hunter were walking back up the aisle.
Vendors:
Madison’s parents adopted her from China as a baby. Leslie, Madison’s mom, was gifted a bonnet for her. She pinned it inside Madison’s dress. Leslie also bought a pearl necklace when they brought Madison home. Madison wore it for her wedding at Prairie Fire Museum.
Hunter has loved dinosaurs his whole life. I don’t know if you noticed earlier but his socks are Jurassic Park themed. So sharing his first look with his mom in front of the T-Rex skeleton in Prairie Fire Museum was all too fitting.
One benefit of having a wedding at Prairie Fire Museum is that every part of the building is beautiful. We used the back side of the building for Madison’s first look with her dad.
Gown switch! I love a good wardrobe change on a wedding day. Madison’s reception dress fit her so well, and made dancing easier for her.
Hunter was such a nice new husband, carrying his wife back to the reception because her shoes hurt her feet.
