Mackenzie and Austin’s pregnancy announcement photos are so cute! These two actually found me through another couple of mine, check out their engagement photos.

Mackenzie and Austin wanted a low-key way to announce their pregnancy, so we did photos in Loose Park. Right after our session, they found out that they’re having a girl! Which made the photos we got in front of the pink roses that much better. While we were taking those photos, I said how perfect would it be if it ends up being a girl?

We were a bit limited in what we could do for photos, since Austin had recently had surgery. So we went for location variety instead and walked around most of the park. Loose Park is much bigger than it seems. But it’s also the best place in Kansas City for fall colors. The trees become so vibrant during fall! We found a large patch of bright yellow trees in the middle of the park. It was the perfect fall scenery for some pregnancy announcement photos.

The best part about the fall colors is that it’s a great visual representation of the time of year this new season of life finds them in.

Mackenzie bought them “mom” and “dad” hats, which were the cutest addition to the session. We put them on at the end of the session so no one would get hat hair. Don’t want to ruin the pregnancy announcement photos with hat hair. Here’s a link to an Etsy shop to buy hats that look like theirs!
