I take my dogs to this big open field to let them run around, and one day on the drive there I found a massive field of wildflowers in Kansas City. Something I think most photographers can relate to, seeing a beautiful location and immediately wanting to shoot there. So I set up some mini sessions, which I don’t do often. But you can’t pass up wildflowers in Kansas City, or anywhere really, but being IN the city it was extra special to find such a large field.
Unfortunately, I discovered my massive field had been mowed down just a day before the mini sessions. I wanted to find who ever did it and dump all their soap out. Minor inconvenience enough to annoy them, but not too much that it actually messes with their life. Anyways, that wasn’t doable so I set to find another field. I had a feeling this was a futile attempt but I tried anyways. After driving all over Kansas City, I decided the much smaller field of wildflowers across the street from the original was the best bet. While it wasn’t expansive like the original, it had the same kind of flowers plus some cool tall ones.
The photos turned out beautifully!
Natalie and Trey got engaged shortly after this! How exciting!!
Recognize these two? They’ve appeared on the blog before🙂 I’m so lucky to have such amazing couples that enjoy working with me so much they have two sessions within a few months!
