This venue, The Wedding Place KC, is such a hidden gem! It’s an entirely outdoor wedding venue, with indoor getting ready rooms, The location is owned by the cutest elderly couple who fell into the wedding business after hosting a wedding for family. Their property is beautiful, close to the city but you’d never know it while you’re there. It’s also insanely affordable! For 2020 weddings, it’s just $400 for the ENTIRE DAY! You can have up to 150 guests, and they include quite a bit of additional things in their rental fee. There is poison ivy in some areas, but it never became a problem while I was there.

The big industrial fans were definitely required for the heat index of 108 degrees we dealt with that day. There is not an indoor option for anything, so keep that in mind. It would be very easy to put up a tent in case of rain though. Definitely check out this beautiful venue if you’re searching for your perfect wedding venue.

Nicole and Kellen created a beautiful boho wedding, complete with wingback chairs and macrame – I’m obsessed! It was made even more special by having their kids in the wedding party. Such cuties!
