First things first, think about some places that are special to your relationship. Ask yourselves these questions:
Maybe every Sunday you bake some cookies together. Or maybe you went to a carnival on your first date. Your engagements should tell the story of your love and your relationship. If your love story involves a monster truck show, wouldn’t it be fun to have that captured? I read a story recently, a couple chose to have some of their engagement photos done at the place they first met. They shared that they were so glad they chose to capture that because now the building has been demolished to make room for an apartment complex. They’ll never be able to go back to that building again, but they’ll always have those photos to help them keep that memory alive.
Abby and Brendan got the best of both worlds for their engagement session. We started at ROKC Underground, which is where they first met. We got super cute photos recreating when they first met, climbing around and having fun. Then we went to get photos in a park.
If you can’t think of any significant places for your relationship, I’ve made a list of some unique places I’ve shot at. A good photographer can make any location work, so don’t hold back on your crazy ideas!
